Every weekday morning, Maya wakes up at half past six. The first thing she does is turn off her alarm and stretch under the warm blanket for a minute. Then she gets out of bed, opens the curtains, and lets the sunlight into her room. Maya has a simple routine. She brushes her teeth, washes her face, and gets dressed. In the kitchen, she makes a cup of coffee and eats a slice of toast with cheese. While she eats, she checks her phone for messages and looks at the weather. Some mornings are harder than others. If she wakes up late, she has to hurry. She grabs her bag, puts on her shoes, and runs to catch the bus. When she has more time, she enjoys her breakfast slowly and even reads a few pages of a book. By eight o'clock, Maya is ready to start her day.
