Every Friday, the children in the village run to Nana Ruth's house. She is very old, but her stories are full of life. She sits in her big chair near the window, and the children sit on the floor around her. Nana Ruth tells stories about brave sailors, animals, and faraway lands. She uses her hands and changes her voice for each . When she speaks , the room goes quiet. When she , everyone laughs. 'Where do you find all these stories?' a boy once asked. Nana Ruth smiled. 'I remember them from my own grandmother,' she said. 'And one day, you will tell them to your children.' The children love these afternoons. They forget their phones and games. For one hour, they travel to other worlds inside their minds. When it grows dark, they go home. But they always come back the next Friday, ready for a new story.
