The Young Inventor

Mia is ten years old, and she loves to build things. Her room is full of old radios, broken clocks, and boxes of small parts. Some people think it is just junk, but Mia sees something different. She sees ideas. Last winter, her little brother was afraid of the dark. So Mia made a special lamp for him. She used an old bottle, a small light, and some colored paper. When she turned it on, stars appeared on the walls of his room. Her brother was so happy that he slept well every night after that. Mia does not always succeed. Many of her machines do not work, and sometimes she feels like giving up. But her mother tells her, 'Every mistake teaches you something new.' So Mia tries again and again. One day, Mia wants to build robots that help people. For now, she is happy to make her family smile.
